Guests on ‘Tarot with Bonnie and Peter’

It didn’t really start out that way. Our intention when starting the podcast was to make the Tarot accessible and approachable. We wanted to dispel some myths. We wanted to delve into important topics. We wanted to highlights the Tarot’s practical uses in everyday life.

But we also wanted to share this with others. So I told Bonnie I would reach out to some Tarot people I had connected with in the past.  I started with Janine Worthington, a UK practitioner I had first started talking to during COVID, while I was living in Belgium for work.  Janine and I would meet via Zoom every so often and chat all things Tarot and then all things life. She was lovely, knowledgeable and approachable and would be a perfect ‘first guest’.

Our first guest on the podcast!

I reached out with fingers crossed. After all, Bonnie and I hardly had 10 episodes under our belt and only a sprinkling of consistent listeners. And Janine is a published deck creator, accomplished presenter and the Chair of TABI, the Tarot Association of British and International members. But she didn’t hesitate.

We chatted about her deck, The In Between Tarot. We talked about her practice. We really just chatted. It was a lot of fun and it opened the door to so many other wonderful guests. It also built up our confidence to reach out to more practitioners.

Bonnie and I reached out to some more influential practitioners in the Tarot world. We started with Tarot connections we made a the Tarot and Lenormand Conference in Kingston, Ontario. Sasha Graham graciously agreed to join us. We had attended an inspiring workshop she led. We chatted Tarot, magic, and shadow! She connected us to Alison DeNicola. Bonnie had attended a yoga/Tarot retreat led by Sasha and Alison and was thrilled to chat with her.  The conference in Kingston also led to conversations with guests Nancy Antenucci and Andrew McGregor.

We also reached out to Barbara Moore, T. Susan Chang, Liz Worth, and Mary Greer (!)… all responding with a selfless and gracious ‘Yes’. As a matter of fact, the Tarot community is so welcoming and accommodating, we have yet to hear ‘No’ from anyone. How’s that for Tarot love!!

We have also held space with local legends Meghan Wellsbury, co-owner of Healing Moon, the place where Bonnie and my Tarot world collided, and local astrologer and relationship coach Naomi Simpson, friend and colleague of Bonnie’s.

We love the conversations we have with our guests. And, as we approach the one year anniversary of ‘Tarot with Bonnie and Peter’, we have more in store.

Make sure you subscribe to “Tarot with Bonnie and Peter’ on your favourite platform so you don’t miss a single episode!

I’ve worked with the Tarot in some capacity for 40 years. I’ve written for numerous Canadian and International publications and I love teaching all things Tarot! When not immersed in something Tarot-related, I play synths in an 80s cover band, cycle, read voraciously, and am slowly re-wiring myself after an award-winning career as an educational leader.
